The lighthouse monument was built in 1953 as part of the Volga-Don Shipping Canal named after V.I. Lenin, designed by architect R.A. Yakubov. Its walls are adorned with cast-iron prows depicting the bows of ancient ships. The monument bears the inscription: "Glory to the valiant sailors of the Volga military flotilla, who heroically defended Tsaritsyn (1918, 1919), Stalingrad (1942, 1943)." This lighthouse serves not only as a monument but also as a landmark for vessels navigating the Volga and further along the Volga-Don Canal.
