The district local history museum began its work on May 7, 2010, and is the youngest among the district museums of the Ulyanovsk region. Before its opening, extensive and meticulous work was carried out to collect documents and exhibits.

The museum's permanent exhibition features 399 authentic documents and exhibits related to the history of the district. Since its opening, the museum has been visited by 8,825 people, and 224 socially significant events have been organized for various age groups. Among the visitors were guests from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ufa, Ulyanovsk, as well as residents of the district and region. Many of them left their feedback in the visitors' book. Since the museum is relatively young, the methodological center of the regional local history museum provides it with significant practical and methodological support.
