Фото 1
The Magnitogorsk Historical and Local Lore Museum was founded on August 31, 1944. Its collections hold over 100,000 exhibits, including archaeological collections from the Upper Paleolithic to the Late Middle Ages, Ural minerals, artistic metalwork, and Russian cast copper, as well as household items.

Visitors are offered a permanent exhibition "The History of Magnitka, the History of the Country," which reflects key moments of the socialist period in our country: the development of heavy industry, the heroism of workers on the home front during the Great Patriotic War, and the role of Magnitka in modern Russia. A special interest is aroused by the retro room "Here Everything is Now a Memory."

The literary department of the museum, the poet Boris Ruchyev's apartment museum, is the only literary museum in the Southern Urals. It attracts lovers of Soviet and Russian literature and poetry. The first floor of the museum hosts thematic exhibitions and various events throughout the year.
