The literary museum, opened in 1967, has collected over 20,000 exhibits during its years of operation, including manuscripts, photo documents, and personal belongings of famous writers such as Gaidar, Bazhov, Gorky, and the Strugatsky brothers. The foundation of the collection is the personal archive of Arkady Gaidar, which continues to be supplemented by his descendants. The museum features translations and lifetime editions of his books, and visitors can hear stories about the writer's complex fate and learn the secret of his pseudonym. Family relics and items belonging to Gaidar's son and grandson hold special value. In the exhibition "Gaidars of the 20th Century," you can see carriage clocks, a Colt .45 pistol, a silver cigarette case, and much more.
