The A. P. Gaidar Literary-Memorial Museum combines three museum units. In addition to the Literary Museum, it includes the Memorial Household Museum of Gaidar and the Memorial Museum of Gorky. The museum collections were created in different periods and reflect in detail the life, creativity, and significant events from the lives of Soviet writers.

The Literary Museum regularly hosts various exhibitions. For example, exhibitions dedicated to Egyptian mummies or linden dolls dressed in costumes from Ancient Russia, the Renaissance, and Ancient Greece.

Historical events hold a special place in the museum. A significant event was held in honor of the Komsomol with a demonstration of Komsomol badges and honorary awards. The exhibition "The Patriotic War of 1812 in Russian Literature" was marked by a rich collection of engravings, household items, books, and complete uniforms of the Russian and French armies.

Every year, the museum hosts "Museum Night" and "Night of the Arts," where interactive platforms with quests, master classes, and theatrical performances are organized.

For children, a group educational program can be pre-ordered in the format of a lecture, film lecture, games, walking tour, or themed class.

The Memorial House-Museum is located a few meters from the Literary Museum, while the Gorky Museum is across the street.
