The museum is located in a house on Krasnoarmeyskaya Street, 5, where the Soviet writer Nikolai Zotovich Biryukov, a laureate of the State Prize of the USSR and author of the novels "The Seagull" and "Waters of Naryn," spent the last years of his life.

The writer's fate was tragic: a severe illness in his youth confined him to bed. However, despite his complete immobility, with the support of his wife and friend Anna Ilyinichna, he led an active life, traveling across the country and meeting people. In Yalta, Biryukov worked on the epic "On Steep Passes" and the novel "The Second Heart."

The museum carefully preserves the atmosphere of the memorial rooms, including the study, library, and dining room.

The literary exhibition of the museum is dedicated to the life and work of the writer, whose works have been translated into more than 40 languages. The Literary Memorial House-Museum of N. Z. Biryukov is the only one of its kind in Russia.
