Literary and Art Museum in Old Crimea

The Literary and Art Museum is located in a mansion from the late 19th century, designed in the style of Southern Russian Classicism. The museum features exhibition halls: "Archaeology", "Old Crimea of the late 19th and early 20th centuries", "Literary Old Crimea", and "Crimea and Modernity".

The archaeological exhibition is dedicated to the history of Old Crimea, known as the ancient Solkhat, the capital of the Crimean ulus of the Golden Horde. It showcases the results of many years of archaeological research, covering both ancient times and the medieval period. The ethnographic section of the exhibition displays items of culture and everyday life of the peoples living in this multi-ethnic city.

The museum's collection also includes unique materials related to the stay of prominent figures of domestic science and culture in the city, such as writers A. Grin, V. Okhotnikov, A. Tsvetaeva, V. Oseeva, poets G. Petnikov, V. Rozhdestvensky, M. Bogdanovich, Yu. Drunina, and cardiac surgeon N. Amosov.

The museum has a virtual concert hall with 64 seats, equipped with modern multimedia equipment and high-speed internet. This allows residents and guests of the city to participate in various cultural events online.
