On the island, there are two Russian burial sites: a section with a memorial plaque at the British cemetery near the town of Mudros and a cemetery on the Kaloeraki peninsula with a monument. In the Orthodox church of the town of Mudros, there are icons left by the Cossacks. In the neighboring settlement of Portiano, next to the Russian cemetery, there is a local history museum that features a Russian section.
