Local History Museum in Shatki

The museum was founded in 2004 and includes the "Historical and Local History Museum," the "Children's Museum named after Tanya Savicheva," and the "Old Ivanchevsky Museum of Mordovian Culture."

The museum's collection consists of 700 items in the main fund and 200 items in the scientific auxiliary fund, including household and ethnographic items, numismatics, photographs, printed materials, and much more.

The museum's exhibitions tell about the history of the workers' settlement of Shatki and the region, as well as the occupations, crafts, culture, and everyday life of the Russian and Mordovian peoples. The central exhibition in the museum named after Tanya Savicheva is dedicated to the memory of the girl who became a victim of the Siege of Leningrad.
