The Local History Museum in Gryazovets, Vologda Oblast, is the only object of historical and cultural heritage of federal significance in the city. This two-story building was constructed in the mid-19th century by merchant Razumovsky for trade and commercial purposes and was used for that purpose for a long time.

From 1920 to 1929, the local history museum was located on the second floor of the building, after which the exhibits were moved to Vologda and Arkhangelsk. However, thanks to the efforts of local historians and the museum's founder, historian and local historian A.A. Noskova, the museum reopened its doors in this building.

The grand opening took place on April 29, 1978. The museum's collection has been formed over many decades, and today it offers visitors a variety of exhibitions and thematic tours dedicated to the native land. Among them are: "Traditional Folk Culture of Gryazovets District," "Vologda Linen," "Introduction to the Old City," "The Great Patriotic War in Letters and Memories," and others.

Originally, the museum was a public one, and now it is a branch of the VGIAC museum-reserve. It is open for visits daily, except for Monday and Tuesday, and welcomes adults, students, children, and guests of the city of Gryazovets.
