The composition, located in the square between the Congress Hall and the main building of the entertainment complex, is designed in the style of a train station platform from the early 20th century, featuring a steam locomotive and a retro carriage. It was opened in 2012.
The shunting tank locomotive 9Pm-178 previously served as a monument in the Moscow depot of Likhobory. At the request of the general director of JSC 'Corporation “Grinn”' Nikolai Greshilov, the president of JSC 'Russian Railways' Vladimir Yakunin transferred the locomotive, as confirmed by a commemorative plaque.
Since a large mainline locomotive would not fit in the square, the choice fell on a shunting depot machine. To give it a more imposing appearance, the water tanks were removed from the 9Pm locomotive, handrails were added, and something resembling buffers was welded on, while retaining the automatic coupler. However, the tender was not added. The red star on the front of the locomotive and the 'pre-revolutionary' carriages create a particularly 'harmonious' look.
The composition 'Station for Tourists' is located in Oryol on the territory of the mega-complex 'GRINN.'
