The service mini-complex is located on the second line of buildings and faces the main facades towards the inner street of the main complex, known as the "Alley of Life".

It is well visible from Bolshaya Pirogovskaya Street behind the Hospital Clinic. Initially, the complex of service buildings had an exclusively functional purpose, including a kitchen block, garage, water tower, and power station. Now the equipment has been completely updated, but in 1890 it was a modern utility block with advanced technical solutions.

Architecturally, the service mini-complex resembled a Russian medieval estate or urban quarter. The architect applied the same principles as in the creation of the Clinical Town as a whole, varying the sizes and heights of the buildings, as well as the configurations of the plans, creating a unified diversity.

In the construction of the "Kitchen Building" (Bolshaya Pirogovskaya, 2, building 6), K.M. Bykovsky used elements of ancient Russian art that were in vogue. At first glance, the strict two-story building looks festive due to its wide pediments and large windows styled after the arcades of the 16th-17th centuries.

Behind the "Kitchen Building" stands the water tower, well visible from Pogodinskaya Street. K.M. Bykovsky designed it in the form of a Renaissance campanile, a castle tower from the 14th-15th centuries. For connoisseurs of the work of M.D. Bykovsky (the architect's father), it resembles the bell tower of the Ivanovsky Monastery in Moscow, in the construction of which Bykovsky Jr. participated.

Despite its relatively small height, the tower appears massive due to its enlarged forms, especially noticeable in the "fortress" attic on the arched consoles.

The one-story garage building (Bolshaya Pirogovskaya, 2, building 8) is well visible from Pogodinskaya Street. The large arched entrances, now bricked up, remind of its original purpose. The garage harmoniously fits into the overall complex of service buildings.
