The room, designed by Bakst and located in a charming round tower, magically conveys the story of Sleeping Beauty.

Leon Bakst, an artist from the Russian Empire, gained fame as a set designer for the Russian ballet. His works, showcased in England in the Art Deco style, are rare examples of this art. The paintings were originally commissioned by James and Dorothy de Rothschild for their London home in 1913.

The uniqueness of these paintings lies in the fact that family members, friends, and associates of the Rothschilds posed as various characters. The image of the Beautiful Prince was inspired by James de Rothschild, the Princess by his brother's wife, and the puppy by Dorothy de Rothschild's dog named Muffin. In total, the paintings depict 42 real people and one dog.
