The architectural forms of the brick plastered bell tower are characteristic of the classical style. The Assumption Church, built of brick, plastered and painted in two colors, was erected in 1802 on the site of the Zhukovo-Bogoroditskaya Monastery, founded in 1515. The monastery housed two wooden churches: the tent-roofed Assumption Church and the two-altar Nativity of Christ Church. The monastery ceased to exist in 1764. The brick Assumption Church was an octagon on a square base and was topped with five domes on blind drums. In 1855, a wide refectory with altars of the Nativity of Christ and Elijah the Prophet was added to the church. The church grounds were surrounded by a brick fence with rustication, decorated with smooth semicircular niches. Opposite the western entrance to the temple were arched gates with a decorative pediment, framed by gates with tent-like finishes.

In the 1960s, the church and all its buildings were dismantled for bricks.

The three-tiered bell tower consists of square sections that decrease in size towards the top and are finished with profiled cornices. The corners of the lower tier are highlighted by wide rusticated pilasters. In the upper tiers, set back from the corners, smooth pilasters frame the bell arch.
