The clinic for ear, throat, and nose diseases, located at the intersection of Olsufyevsky and Bozheninsky lanes (now Rossolimo Street), was opened on October 22, 1896, under the medical faculty of the Imperial Moscow University. It was part of the Clinical Town at Devichye Pole, although it was situated away from Bolshaya Pirogovskaya Street.

The construction of this clinic, which surpassed all similar institutions of its time in terms of equipment, was a significant event in domestic healthcare. It was here that the school of Russian otorhinolaryngology was born.

This was the second ENT clinic in Russia, built according to a special project and equipped with modern scientific achievements. Its construction was made possible by a donation from Yulia Ivanovna Bazanova, an honorary citizen of Moscow and Irkutsk.

In the organization of the ENT clinic, as well as other medical institutions, participated the young scientist, Doctor of Medicine S.F. von Stein. The architect was L.K. Kromaldi. The ceremonial laying of the first stone took place on May 12, 1894, and by August of the same year, the main construction work was completed. Throughout 1895, the clinic was fully equipped. In May 1896, it was presented to members of the Russian government, who highly appreciated the new medical institution created for clinical teaching, patient treatment, and scientific research. A particular pride of the clinic's director S.F. von Stein were the specialized rooms: acoustics, comparative anatomy, and pathological anatomy.

In the museum of the history of the I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy, instruments from the acoustics room are kept with labels confirming their affiliation with the Y.I. Bazanova Clinic. There is also a bust of Bazanova, which previously stood in one of the auditoriums.

Currently, the building of the ENT clinic is used by the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy, the Department of Medical Equipment, and the Veterinary Clinic.
