The Russian Orthodox cemetery at the Holy Trinity Monastery was established almost simultaneously with the founding of the Russian settlement in this location. Many Russian White émigrés found their rest here, including priests, officers, scholars, and officials. Among them is buried Boris Mikhailovich Ivanov, one of the last leaders of the Russian All-Military Union, a native of Penza and a friend of Roman Gula, who passed away in Detroit.
