Ural breeders have created the willow variety 'In Memory of Mindovsky', recognized as the most beautiful among northern willows. This ornamental tree stands out in winter with bright yellow shoots and delights in summer with its lacy weeping crown. The tree reaches a height of 7 meters, with branches that droop to the ground. The shoots are characterized by their thinness, flexibility, and length, featuring a light golden-olive color. The variety has high winter hardiness and light-loving qualities, requiring no special soil conditions. It is used as a solitary plant, in group plantings, for creating compositions, and for decorating water bodies.

In April 2019, it marked 110 years since the birth of Valentin Leonidovich Mindovsky. In honor of the anniversary of the famous greening expert, Perm activists decided to plant these willows in Teatralny, Ivovy squares, and Mindovsky square.
