Historical-Patriotic Complex 'Museum of Military and Labor Glory' in Saratov

The Museum of Military and Labor Glory is located on the famous Sokolova Hill. It was opened on May 9, 1982.

In 1999, a unique open-air military equipment exhibition was presented in the Volga region for the first time, which now includes about 200 units. In 2015, the State Autonomous Institution of Culture 'Museum of Military and Labor Glory' was established. In the museum halls, you can see the only surviving Yak-1 aircraft in the world, a legend of the war years, as well as valuable exhibits, documents, photographs, awards, banners of military units, and military relics of heroes from Saratov, such as I. Panfilov, V. Klochkova, V. Talalikhina, and N. Skomorokhov.

The exhibition 'Train of Mercy' features materials from the military sanitary train No. 87, which was led by Major of the Medical Service P. K. Tabakov, the father of the People's Artist of the USSR Oleg Tabakov. In the ethnographic complex 'National Village of the Peoples of Saratov Region', guests are warmly welcomed by 16 homesteads.
