In 1981, the museum-preserve of brothers Viktor and Apollinary Vasnetsov, "Ryabovo," was opened, which became part of the Vyatka Regional Art Museum named after the Vasnetsovs on January 1, 2008.

The museum-preserve "Ryabovo" is located in the village of the same name, where the famous artists grew up. Here, their father, Mikhail Vasilyevich Vasnetsov, served as a priest. It was in this place that Viktor and Apollinary began to engage in painting, which ultimately brought them worldwide fame and public recognition.

To this day, the family home of the artists, built in 1854, the stone school building where the brothers studied, their favorite linden tree, as well as the graves of their grandfather and parents have been preserved. Unfortunately, the stone church of the Nativity of John the Baptist, built in 1794 and where their father served, was destroyed by the Bolsheviks. In memory of it, a wooden church of the Nativity of John the Baptist was erected in 1998, located next to the preserved foundation. In the 2000s, outbuildings were restored on the territory of the preserve, such as the estate complex, barn, stable, bathhouse, cattle shed, as well as small architectural forms, gazebo, well, and canopy.

The museum-preserve's exhibition includes the Vasnetsov family tree, portraits of family members, recreated interiors of the living room, children's room, and kitchen, reflecting the old way of rural life. Two paintings by A. M. Vasnetsov and his lithographs, copies of paintings by V. M. and A. M. Vasnetsov, printed publications from the 19th century, as well as copies of historical and archival documents are presented.

According to local historians, the landscape of the Ryabovo land itself is a unique historical monument and nature reserve, where creative events and excursions are regularly held. In 2006, the 150th anniversary of Apollinary Vasnetsov was widely celebrated in the village of Ryabovo, after which the All-Russian "Vasnetsov Plein Air" took place annually until 2011. In 2011 and 2012, an International Ceramic Symposium was also held here.
