The Idnakar Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve named after M. G. Ivanova is the only archaeological museum-reserve in Udmurtia. It is based on the federally significant monument "Idnakar Settlement of the IX-XIII centuries," located 4 km from the center of Glazov, as well as the building that houses exhibitions, displays, and collections. The museum features three permanent exhibitions: "Idnakar Settlement of the IX-XIII centuries AD," "Origins. Polom Archaeological Culture of the V-IX centuries," and "Nature of Northern Udmurtia," along with two halls for temporary exhibitions.

The archaeological collections of the Idnakar museum-reserve contain unique artifacts from the Cheptsa River basin, dating back to the period of ethnic formations in the Middle Ages. These collections include tools, household items, weapons, jewelry, and unfinished products at various stages of production, revealing many aspects of the material and spiritual culture of the Finno-Ugric population. The materials cover the time frames of the Polom culture of the V-VIII centuries AD and the Chepetsk culture of the IX-XIII centuries AD, reflecting the history and ethnogenesis of the Udmurt population of the Cheptsa River basin.

The museum-reserve features a unique interactive open-air complex called "Fortress of the Hero Idna." Visitors can see a fragment of the fortress wall, a model of a medieval forge, an archaeological "sandbox" simulating a real excavation, an ancient hearth, and a large-scale model of the Idnakar settlement.
