The museum is located in the largest village in Russia, Kinel-Cherkassy. The Historical and Local History Museum was established by a resolution of the Kinel-Cherkassy district administration in 1999 and opened its doors on May 7, 2000. This museum serves as a local history center, exhibition hall, meeting place for different generations, venue for presentations, celebration of significant dates, and honoring deserving individuals. It also acts as a methodological center for working with folk craft masters and serves as a tourist bureau.
Kinel-Cherkassy rightly takes pride in its rich historical past, active present, and promising future. Founded in 1744, this village is one of the most interesting places in the Samara region.
