The Historical and Local History Museum is located in an old mansion built in the last quarter of the 19th century. Initially, this building served as a residential house for merchant Mironov, one of the wealthy residents of the village, and later it housed a branch of the State Bank. In 1981, a group of enthusiasts led by local historian P.Ya. Rusiyaev proposed to open a museum in this building, and on December 20, 1991, it was opened based on a public initiative. The museum occupies the entire first floor of the building.

The museum's exhibition includes several sections: "Antiquities of the Native Land," featuring paleontological and archaeological collections; "Flora and Fauna," dedicated to the plant and animal world; "Peasant Hut," telling about the life and economy of the 19th century; "The Period of Collectivization," as well as sections on "The Great Patriotic War" and an "Exhibition Hall" for guest exhibitions.
