The Otradnensky Historical and Archaeological Museum was opened on May 26, 1957, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the stanitsa of Otradnaya. Its exhibitions reflect the history of the Cossack region, the feats of the residents of Otradnaya during the Great Patriotic War, as well as materials about famous locals.

The museum's collection is primarily composed of archaeological and paleontological finds, household items of the Kuban Cossacks, artifacts related to the events of the Great Patriotic War, documents, and photographs. The museum features memorial collections dedicated to opera singer V.P. Damaev, photo correspondent A.N. Zhigaylov from ITAR TASS, local historian and honored cultural worker of Kuban M.N. Lozhkin, as well as journalist and writer, editor of the newspaper 'Kuban News' P.E. Pridius.

The museum's exhibition is divided into five sections: nature and paleontology, archaeology, the history of the emergence and settlement of the foothill stanitsas, the history of the first third of the 20th century, and the Great Patriotic War. The art department regularly hosts exhibitions from the museum's own collections, as well as from the F.A. Kovalenko Regional Art Museum, the E.D. Felitsyn Regional State Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve, and other museums in southern Russia, including private collections.
