The Idrinsky District Local History Museum named after N. F. Letyagin was opened in January 2008. Its history dates back to 1996, when the 70th anniversary of N. F. Letyagin, a distinguished cultural worker of the RSFSR and founder of the first local history museum in the village of Novoberzovka, was celebrated. At that time, the staff of the district library, under the direction of director L. V. Evseenko, decided to create a local history museum in the village of Idrinskoye. In November 1997, an order was issued to transfer the folk museum from the village of Novoberzovka to the village of Idrinskoye, into the building of the district library.
The main collections of the museum include: the collection of N. F. Letyagin, the collection of V. I. Borisov "Rocks and Minerals", a numismatic collection, "Fauna of the Idrinsky District", "Entomology", "Culture and Everyday Life of Peasants of Idrinskaya Volost at the End of the 19th and Beginning of the 20th Century", "Household Items and Tools of Labor at the End of the 19th and Beginning of the 20th Century", as well as the exhibition "Let Us Bow to Those Great Years" and a gallery of military glory.
