In 1842, a stone church dedicated to the Nativity of Christ was built on the site of a burned wooden church. In 1878, it was expanded by adding two chapels: on the left, in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, and on the right, in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. As a result, the old part of the church, which consists of a square base with a rotunda, as well as a three-tiered bell tower, became enclosed within the new part of the church, designed in an eclectic style. Two additional semi-circular apses were added to the original one, corresponding to the new chapels.
