In the village of Igodovo, in the Voskresensky district, there are two stone churches, a summer and a winter one, with the same bell tower. The summer church was built in 1777, and the winter one in 1802, both funded by the parishioners. The fence around the churches is also made of stone. The village has two cemeteries: one located next to the church, and the other, a third of a verst away, fenced with a wooden fence. The summer church has two altars dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ and the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. The winter church also has two altars: in honor of the Annunciation of the Mother of God and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The Kazan Icon of the Mother of God is venerated in the village. The distance to Kostroma is 92 versts, to Galich, 41 versts. The nearest churches are located in the villages of Teplinovo and Ryazanovo, 5 versts away, and in the village of Govenovo, 10 versts away.

In the 17th century, the village was part of the Kostroma district according to administrative-territorial division, and according to church-administrative division, it was in the Pleskaya ten. In 1620, the church "Resurrection of Christ in Igodovo" is mentioned.

In 1629, the village was owned by Grigory Ontiokhov Zakhariev by royal grant. He was given half of the village of Igodovo, while the other half belonged to his brother Ofonasy Zakharov. The village had the church of the Resurrection of Christ, a warm church of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and a chapel of Macarius of Yellow Waters. The churches had icons, candles, books, vestments, and bells. Living on the church land were priest Frol Nikонов, deacon Plyushko Frolov, sexton Pyatunko Yakovlev, and prosphora baker Varvara.

In September 1643, a blessed grant was issued for the construction of the altar of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos at the request of Kostroma resident Afonasy Antiochov.

In January 1708, two antimins were issued for the newly built church in the name of the Kazan Most Holy Theotokos and the chapel of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The antimins were received by priest Kiril Ivanov from the village of Krasnoye, who signed for them.
