In the village, a temple complex has been preserved, showcasing various stages of local architectural development, from early classicism to eclecticism. In the early 17th century, there were two wooden churches here: the Nikolskaya tent church and the Pokrovskaya with a refectory. In the second half of the 17th century, the village of Losevo belonged to the boyar's son G.I. Tolbuzin with his daughters and P.M. Golokhvastov. The complex, located in the center of the village on the eastern side of the square, was formed over more than 100 years. In 1770-1771, under the owner of the village, Y.I. Sipyagin, a peasant from the Yaroslavl district, L.N. Kolosov, built the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The mention of architect Peter Bortnikov as the author of the project requires clarification. In 1840, several dozen meters to the north, the Church of the Protection was erected, possibly commissioned by lieutenant Y.D. Kupreyanov. His grave with a granite tombstone has been preserved near the apse of the Nikolskaya church. In 1901, both churches were surrounded by a fence with Holy gates installed between the two temples along the red line of the square. At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, a clergy house was built opposite the Nikolskaya church, on the other side of the square.
