The Annunciation Church is a unique example of provincial cult architecture in the baroque style. Although the exact date of its construction is unknown, architectural forms suggest it was built in the late 18th century. Next to it stood a second brick church, the Resurrection Church, built in 1772 by the efforts of parishioners. In the early 19th century, a fence with gates and shops was erected around the temple complex. By the end of the same century, a wooden parish school appeared to the south of the churches. Today, the Resurrection Church and the fence have not survived, and the school is in a dilapidated state. The Annunciation Church is located on a plot overgrown with trees, away from residential buildings. The gates and shops are located next to the northern facade of its bell tower. All buildings in the complex are made of brick and covered with lime whitewash.

The Annunciation Church belongs to a popular type in the region, combining the composition of "an octagon on a square" with five domes. A narrow five-sided altar adjoins the main volume from the east, while a wider refectory, equal in height to the square of the church, is attached from the west. A narrow passage connects the refectory with the bell tower, of which two tiers have survived: a square base and an octagonal upper tier. The corners of the square, the refectory, and the lower tier of the bell tower are rounded and highlighted with braces.

All volumes of the church are united by a low plinth and a three-part profiled entablature, which is accentuated above the smooth pilasters located on the flanks of the facades, set back from the corners. The entrances, located at the center of the three-axial side facades of the square, are emphasized by active risalits with arch-shaped pediments. Above the arched entrance, squeezed between the pilasters and decorated with a wide archivolt with a keystone, there is a small window with an arch-shaped lintel in a flat frame with a roll-shaped brow. Rectangular windows on either side of the entrance are enclosed in flat frames with ears, pendants, and three-part locks that reach the line of the profiled sandrik. Below, between the elongated consoles of the profiled window sills, the frames are complemented by horizontal boards. The windows of the altar and refectory have a similar shape, with the latter placed in high rectangular niches. The ribs of the octagon are decorated with rusticated pilasters supporting a wide profiled cornice. The windows are decorated with framed casings with semicircular aprons and profiled brows, above which are horizontal niches. The eight-pitched curved roof is topped with octagonal drums of the lost domes, the central one pierced with slit windows. The rounded corners of the lower tier of the bell tower between the braces are rusticated. High entrance arches with archivolts resting on small pilasters are flanked by large pilasters supporting the entablature. The ribs of the second tier are decorated with wide pilasters reinforced with belts.
