The village has two stone churches. The first is the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is parish and used in both summer and winter. It was built with the funds of parishioners in 1755. The summer church is dedicated to the Assumption of the Mother of God, while the winter refectory has two chapels: one in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the other, the prophet Elijah.

The second church, dedicated to the Vladimir Mother of God, is also parish and summer. It was erected in 1785 by Princess Yevdokiya Petrovna Vyazemskaya. This church has two chapels: one in honor of the Great Martyr Paraskeva, and the other, Saint Dimitri, Metropolitan of Rostov. Both churches are distinguished by their sturdiness.

The Church of the Assumption was built on the site of a wooden church, which, according to legend, stood on the banks of the Cheremukha River. Due to the bank collapsing, the church was moved to a new location and replaced with a stone one. The wooden church was consecrated in honor of the prophet Elijah, hence the parish was previously called Ilyinsk.

The first mention of the Ilyinsk parish and its villages appears in a charter by the boyar Prince Fyodor Ivanovich Mstislavsky, issued to the Simonov Monastery in 1621. The charter lists the villages that still exist today: Yelokhovo, Lytkino, Andreevskoye, Pirogovo, and others.

The Church of the Vladimir Mother of God was originally located in the estate of the village of Voskresenskoye, owned by Princess Vyazemskaya. In 1785, it was moved to the parish of the village of Yelokhovo and placed near the Assumption Church. A bell tower and a stone chapel were built next to it, along with a fence in 1811.

The church land totals 106 desyatins and 1677 square fathoms. There are five church houses: for the senior and junior priests, the deacon, the church-parish school, and for the church watchman. The church capital amounts to 4579 rubles in bonds. There are two schools in the parish: a zemstvo-parish school 5 versts from the church in the village of Chudinovo and a church-parish school at the church in the village. The clergy staff includes 2 priests, a deacon, and 2 psalmists, with the clergy capital in securities amounting to 5071 rubles.
