According to some sources, the church in the Vornotsovo estate was established from a park pavilion in 1807.

During the 1812 war, the estate suffered greatly: French troops burned the main house, looted and desecrated the Trinity church. However, by 1816, the church was restored, and services resumed.

The next phase of development began in 1838 when the church was reconstructed: a winter chapel in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh was arranged, and the bell tower was rebuilt.

During the Soviet era, like many other churches, the Trinity church was closed in the 1930s. Its building housed workshops, a warehouse for the Vorontsovo agricultural cooperative, and later a toy factory. The building deteriorated and resembled little of an active church.

In 1990, after a long hiatus, a service was held on the ruins of the Trinity church. Since then, services have been held regularly outdoors. The restoration of the church began in 1991 with the development of a restoration project and continued until 1995.

Now, looking at the church and the landscaped area around it, it is hard to imagine the trials it has gone through, and one can only admire its rich history.
