The Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Olkhovatka was built in the second half of the 19th century, following model designs. During the Great Patriotic War, the church suffered significant damage, but in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, it was returned to the faithful and restored.

The stone Presentation Church in Olkhovatka was constructed in 1879. By 1908, the parish had 815 parishioners, and a zemstvo school was also functioning.

In 1934, during collectivization, the church was closed, but it reopened three years later. However, in 1941, the parish was abolished. From 1943 to 1950, the church operated again, but then, until 1998, the building was used as a warehouse.

In the spring of 1998, the villagers initiated the restoration of the church. On December 4, 2004, its grand opening and first service took place.
