The village of Kapystichi is one of the oldest settlements in the Rylsk region. The picturesque and high banks of the Seym River have long attracted people for permanent residence, as evidenced by numerous archaeological monuments from various eras.

On the right bank of the river, there are a fortified settlement and a village dating back to the "Iron Age" (the second half of the 1st millennium BC). Two kilometers to the east, in the center of the village, there are Slavic fortifications and settlements dated approximately to the 10th-12th centuries. On the eastern outskirts of the village, a high burial mound from the Bronze Age (the end of the 3rd - 2nd millennium BC) has been preserved.

On the site of the ancient settlement, the landowners Voropanov established their ancestral estate. Opposite it, on a high riverbank, a stone church was built in 1848, which became a true adornment of the village.

The church was consecrated in honor of the "Entrance of the Holy Virgin." However, in the 1930s, it was partially destroyed and desecrated, and a collective farm warehouse was placed in its building.

In 1998, the Orthodox parish of the Vvedensky Church was restored. By the decree of the Metropolitan of Kursk and Rylsk Iuvenaly, Father Andrey (Tkachenko) was appointed as the rector of the church.
