Vormino, also known as Wormin or Ormin, is a village in the Mglin district of the Bryansk region, part of the Oskolkovsky rural settlement. It is located 15 km northeast of Mglin, on the river. Here are the remains of a fortified settlement and a burial mound from the 11th-13th centuries, which are presumably the remnants of the ancient Russian city of Ormina, mentioned in the chronicle of 1142. In the first half of the 17th century, the village belonged to Abramovich, and later became a ranked estate of the Mglin Cossacks. From 1708, it passed to the Turkovskys, Lashkevichs, Dunin-Borkovskys, and other owners, but since the 18th century, there has been no Cossack population here. From the second half of the 17th century until 1781, Vormino was part of the Mglin hundred of the Starodub regiment. In 1750, a wooden Ascension church was built in the village, although the church likely existed here since the mid-17th century. The church is mentioned until the first half of the 20th century, but has not survived to this day.
