Фото 1
The Resurrection Church at Krutitsy Metochion is a unique monument reflecting several historical eras. The white-stone basement has survived from the 15th century, the lower level is from the 16th century, the upper floor dates back to the 17th century, and the windows of the sacristy and the burial place of Bishop Hilarion are from the 18th century.

The building, constructed in the 16th century, served as a cathedral where the tombs of the Krutitsy archbishops have been preserved. The oldest burial in the white-stone basements dates back to 1499. In 1516, Bishop Dosifei laid the foundation for a stone church on this site, replacing the old wooden one.

Renovation and restoration work is planned for the site.
