The wooden church, clad in larch, was built in 1897, possibly on the site of a former chapel. It was closed no later than the 1930s, and its domes were destroyed. Currently, the building is used by the installation and adjustment management.

In the 19th century, the church was located on the outskirts of the city and likely served as a cemetery church. In the 1920s, the building was seized by Renovationists, who did not care for its condition, and it gradually began to deteriorate.

From the old church, the altar apse, central part, refectory, and lower tier of the bell tower have survived. The original roofing remains on the altar to this day.
