The Resurrection Church, which is the main church of the monastery, is a two-story stone building with a bell tower. The lower church is heated, while the upper one is used in the summer. The church has three altars: on the upper floor in honor of the Renewal of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ, in the lower warm one, in honor of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God, and in the chapel, in honor of Saint Tikhon of Amathus. The church was built by Grand Duchess Tatiana Mikhailovna, but the exact date of its construction is unknown. The grandeur and durability of the building testify to the significant funds invested in its construction. On the southern side of the altar are two graves: of Schema-Monk Joachim and Voivode Khitrovo. On the northern side are the burials of Major General Khitrovo and Colonels Dobrovolsky and Pashkov. The parish cemetery was located near the church fence. In the right chapel of the Resurrection Church, the relics of the Venerable Tikhon of Karachev lie beneath the ground.

The church was closed in 1938. During the Great Patriotic War, in the period of occupation, services resumed in the Resurrection Church (from 1941). After the liberation of Karachev by Soviet troops, the church was closed again in 1945. In the 1970s, it was in a semi-ruined state and was used as a storage for grain, cement, and saltpeter. In the early 1990s, the church was restored, and parish services resumed in 1998.
