The church, built in 1911 in the village of Zimovyenki (now Shebekinsky District), is a harmonious blend of Baroque and classical architectural elements. It attracts attention with its unique iconostasis and ceramic floors.

Located on a hill in the center of the village on Hospital Street, the church has a cross-shaped plan with four pillars, a small five-sided apse, and a two-tiered bell tower. The temple is adorned with five octagonal light drums topped with finials. The entrances from the west, north, and south are framed by Tuscan porticos with four columns. The facades of the church are decorated with triangular pediments, relief threads, rusticated corners and pilasters, as well as arched windows with archivolts and keystones. All rooms have vaulted ceilings and are connected by arched openings.

In the 1930s, the church was closed, but after the war, services resumed. In 1990, the Martha and Mary Convent was established at the church.

The iconostasis of the Resurrection Church is unique, being the only porcelain iconostasis in the Belgorod and Stary Oskol dioceses, built no later than 1911. Its architecture features Russian-Byzantine forms, with pastel tones predominating in its color scheme. All details are crafted with great skill, carefully worked out in shape and color. The iconostasis is three-tiered: the upper tier features a single icon, and the tiers are separated by a bracketed cornice. The central axis is highlighted by a triple repetition of three-part arches and is completed with a perspective arch featuring a four-petaled rosette, which houses the icon of the Lord Sabaoth. All icons are arched in shape and flanked by semi-columns. The axes of the icons located on either side of the central axis are accentuated by round perspective medallions. The iconostasis is topped with five ornate crosses.

In 1993, a representation of the convent was opened in Belgorod. Initially, the monastery in the village of Zimovyenki was called the Martha and Mary Women's Convent, but in December 1999, it was renamed the Voskresensky Monastery in honor of the main church.
