Фото 1
On October 1, 2007, by the decree of Archbishop German (Moralin), the Resurrection of Christ parish was established in the city of Zheleznogorsk. Priest Vladimir Terekhov became its rector.

The first gathering of parishioners took place on October 14, 2007. Due to the lack of a dedicated prayer space, the first Liturgy was held only on Easter 2009 in a rented basement of a nine-story building.

In January 2010, the parish was provided with a new, more spacious basement area, which is still in use today. The first service there was held on January 5, 2010.

On October 7, 2010, by the decree of the ruling hierarch, Priest Roman Matyukov became the second priest of the parish. In September 2012, the Zheleznogorsk diocese was separated from the Kursk and Rylsk diocese, and it was headed by Bishop Benjamin (Korolev). In October 2012, he conducted the first archpastoral liturgy in the Resurrection parish and performed a prayer service "Before the beginning of every good deed" at the site of the future church construction.

On June 26, 2013, excavation work began, and by October 15, the work on pouring the sub-base, tying the reinforcement, and pouring the concrete foundation slab was completed.
