According to data from the "Brief Historical Description of the Parishes and Churches of the Arkhangelsk Diocese," in the late 19th century, there were two wooden churches in the parish, both dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ.

According to the chronicle, one of them, the older one, was built in 1761 with funds from local peasants and had one altar in honor of the Resurrection of Christ. Its roof and outer walls were painted, and an old bell tower stood nearby. The second church was erected in 1892 and had two altars: the main one in honor of the Resurrection of Christ and a side altar in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Three-Handed." The church utensils were modest, the sacristy was poor, and the books were worn out. Both churches were maintained solely on voluntary donations, as they had no own lands.

The clergy consisted of a priest and a psalmist. The priest was Pavlin Fedorovich Mitrofanov, born in 1860 and serving since 1885. The psalmist Emelian studied at the Vongsk rural school and began his diocesan service in 1890.

At the end of 1893, a literacy school was opened, where A. Fomina worked as a teacher, receiving 100 rubles a year from the funds of Father Ioann Sergeyev. By the beginning of 1894, the parish had 158 men and 196 women, of whom 4 men and 33 women were in schism. The village had 57 households.

Ten years later, in 1906, the Clerical Records noted that the parish still had two churches. The old church was built in 1761 with the blessing of Bishop Joseph, and the new one in 1892 with the blessing of Bishop Alexander II. In 1899, the peasants painted the church and the bell tower with whitewash.

Saint Righteous John of Kronstadt made a donation for the construction of the Resurrection Church. With the arrival of the Bolsheviks, the old church was dismantled, and the new one was used as a warehouse and then as a club.

This building, converted into a club, was transported to Severodvinsk while preserving the altar of the Resurrection of Christ. During the dismantling of the church, an icon of the Mother of God "Sign" from the end of the last century was found, which had lain under the floor for 30 years and was well preserved.

On July 2, 1995, the restored building was consecrated by Bishop Panteleimon. Currently, the Resurrection Church has been restored and operates as a city parish church.
