Before the revolution, Likhodiyevsky Pogost, where the Resurrection Church is located, along with the entire Velsk district, was part of the Vologda province. According to the "List of Settlements based on data from 1859", this village was part of the Velsk district (2nd stan) of the Vologda province and had the number "2611" under the name "Likhodiyevsky pog." It had three households, nine men and ten women, as well as one Orthodox parish.

The wooden church was built here in 1794. The church had two altars: the Resurrection of Christ and St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The side altar was consecrated after repairs on November 25, 1867. A wooden bell tower was added to the church.

Currently, the parish is gradually being restored by the efforts of an initiative group.
