Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God in Alyoshinka

The picturesque location on the shore of the lake for the construction of the church was chosen for a reason, as there was previously a church here. Originally, it was a wooden church dedicated to the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, which was later replaced by a stone church in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, built in 1837. At that time, the parish had over 2000 people, and services were attended not only by residents of the large village of Alyoshinka but also by people from nearby villages. The church was closed in 1936 under Soviet power and was completely destroyed during the Great Patriotic War.

On June 21, 2015, in the village of Alyoshinka, Navlinsky District, Metropolitan Alexander of Bryansk and Sevsk conducted the Rite of Great Consecration of the church in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God with an altar dedicated to Alexius, the Man of God, and led the Divine Liturgy.
