The village of Novoyagodnoye, located in the Tobolsk province, Tarsk district, Novoyagodnoye volost, is situated on the banks of the Shish River. The area is hilly, with an abundance of coniferous and deciduous forests. There are many lakes and swamps around the village, where raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, currants, and lingonberries grow, as well as a multitude of mushrooms. At the top of the hill stands the church, while the houses of the residents are located on the slopes. The village is 450 versts from the district town, 400 versts from the diocesan center, and 100 versts from the district and deanery towns.

The church in honor of St. Panteleimon the Great Martyr was built in 1899 with funds from the Alexander III Foundation. The building is wooden, with a bell tower, on a stone foundation, and covered with iron. The church is sturdy, spacious, and well-equipped. A choir of singers from the church parish school, under the direction of the psalmist, operates at the church.

There are separate cemeteries in the villages of Chigany, Larianovsky, and Argayz. The parish population consists of 1156 men and 1056 women. On average, 300 baptisms, 30 marriages, and 100 burials are performed annually. The church parish guardianship was established in 1900 but has no capital.

In 1900, a church parish school was opened with funds from the Alexander III Foundation. Within the parish in the village of Kuksy, there is a Lutheran school. No land has been allocated for the clergy.

The clergy have two houses, both wooden, covered with shingles, with outbuildings, built with funds from the same foundation. The parish buys pine firewood at 1 ruble per fathom. The salary from the treasury is 600 rubles for the priest and 200 rubles for the psalmist. The parish capital amounts to 100 rubles, while brotherly income reaches 400 rubles per year. According to the parish staff, there is a priest and a psalmist.

In summer, parishioners engage in logging, loading it onto barges, and rafting to the steamboat landings, as well as hunting and fishing. Agriculture is conducted on a very small scale. A one-day fair is held in Novoyagodnoye on November 16. The Easter procession with holy icons is carried out to all houses in the parish.
