The Panteleimon Church is one of the first rural hospital churches in Russia. Its construction began in 2003 at the district hospital of the Oryol region, and it was consecrated on August 9, 2007.
The initiators of the church's construction were medical workers and patients of the Plescheyevo hospital, who also became the main donors. The project was supported by the spiritual leader of Optina Monastery, Iliy, the Moscow fund "Glas," and the leaders of the Oryol region.
