The decision to build a new church on the site of the old one was made in 2005 during a meeting with Patriarch Alexy II, and in the summer of 2006, the first stone was laid for the church's foundation. Many years ago, there was already a church here, which was blown up in 1966.
On the second day after the Feast of the Assumption, on the day of the church holiday of the village of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, two domes with crosses were installed on the red brick church building. They were consecrated by Archbishop German of Kursk and Rylsk.
The church being built is an exact copy of the previous one, but smaller in size: its height with the cross is twenty meters. The sanctuary is clearly visible from afar, as Uspenka is located on a hill.
On October 20, 2008, the Assumption Church was opened in its completed form, with a landscaped area.
