In 1901, a stone Assumption church was consecrated in the village of Albash, built in the style of "Russian-Byzantine" architecture with patterned brickwork. The central part of the church was topped with a large dome with an Orthodox cross, surrounded by four smaller decorative domes. The dimensions of the church were 22.8 meters in length and 12.98 meters in width.

The interior space of the church resembled a "ship" (a symbol of Noah's Ark), representing an elongated rectangle measuring 129.3 sq. m, divided into three parts: a narthex of 36 sq. m, the central part with a square formed by four massive pillars supporting the light drum and dome, and the altar area, separated by an altar screen and equal in area to the side chapel. On either side of the altar were two small rooms connected to it by openings: a sacrificial altar for performing proskomedia and a deacon's room for storing offerings. The northern and southern entrances to the church had small narthexes with vertical windows on both sides of the doors. The cost of constructing the building was 20,000 rubles, and the iconostasis cost 1,000 rubles.

Twenty versts from the church, land was allocated for the priest and psalmist, covering an area of 52.5 desyatinas. In the churchyard, west of the church, a wooden bell tower "on pillars" was built.

In 1922, valuables were confiscated from the churches of the stanitsa and village for the "salvation of the starving." During this time, Father Nikolai Vorobyov, the priest from the village of Albash, was arrested. The village activists looted the valuables and utensils of the Assumption church, and in 1934-1935, the crosses were removed and the domes were destroyed. The church was first turned into a granary and then into a club, which still exists today.

The restoration of the church began in 2007.
