More than a hundred years have passed since the consecration in 1906 of one of the most beautiful churches in Kuban, dedicated to the Three Saints, in the village of Umanskaya (Leningrad). Unfortunately, it stood for only 30 years. Today, a new church has been built in the village, but descendants decided to commemorate the site of the destroyed shrine, which was demolished during the years of turmoil.

On January 22, after the Sunday service at the local Church of the Three Saints and the laying of flowers at the memorial for the Cossacks shot in the 1930s, a procession took place in honor of this sad date. With banners and icons, parishioners, led by the ataman of the district Cossack society, walked through the entire village to the central park. There, at the site of the destroyed church, a chapel has been laid. For the first time, a service was held at the consecrated site in memory of the Cossacks who gave their lives for the Motherland.

According to military priest Igor Tikhnovetsky, the date is also connected to the location of the chapel's foundation. The entire area of the park was once the churchyard, where respected Cossacks, villagers, and clergy were buried for over 130 years. Many relics were found during the park's construction. Notably, the site for the chapel was chosen deliberately; it is the former church well, where, according to legend, the residents of Umanskaya threw church utensils so that they would not fall into the hands of the godless. The priest noted that there is symbolism in this: the former well will become a source of spiritual purification.
