In 1860, staff captain of the guard Vasily Semyonovich Khitrovo built a beautiful, tall wooden church with a bell tower. The church was erected in honor of the Holy Trinity in gratitude for his return from the Crimean campaign and healing from wounds sustained during the defense of Sevastopol. Three desyatins of estate land and 33 desyatins of arable land were allocated for the church, which the clergy cultivated themselves. Around 1893, a parish school was opened at the church.

The church was closed no later than the 1930s, and in 1942 it was occupied by the Germans as a headquarters and then burned down. After the war, the remains of the church were dismantled, and the foundation was used for building collective farm stables and barns. In 2011, construction of a new wooden church began on this site. Currently, the church is still under construction, but services are held regularly.
