In the village of Olshanka, a new Trinity Church was built in the early 2000s, located next to the ruins of an 18th-century brick church that was destroyed in 1968.

The brick Trinity Church, built in 1774, had three altars: the main one was dedicated to the Holy Trinity, the second to the Protection of the Mother of God, and the third to the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica.

In the 1920s-1930s and during the Great Patriotic War, the church withstood, but in 1968 it was closed and subjected to an attempted explosion. The bricks from the destroyed church were used to build cow sheds.

In 1998, Bishop John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol consecrated the cornerstone for the new church. Construction on the site of the old church proved impossible due to serious damage to the foundation. To this day, the building remains semi-destroyed and cannot be restored.

The consecration of the new church took place on October 10, 2004, conducted by Archbishop John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol.
