The Holy Trinity Church in the village of Malotroitskoye was built between 2009 and 2011 on the site of a church destroyed during the Soviet era, which was constructed in the early 19th century.

The stone church, dedicated to the Holy Trinity, was erected in 1812 in the settlement of Kotel'naya Plota (now the village of Malotroitskoye) with funds from Prince N. Trubetskoy. The church was associated with the farms of Khitrovo, Slavyanka, Petrovsky, and Vasilyevka, which made up the Trinity parish. With the establishment of the church, a parish school was opened in the settlement, which became a zemstvo school in 1907. This school primarily educated the children of the prosperous residents of the village.

During the Soviet years, the church was completely destroyed. In 2010, a new wooden church was built in its place. On November 8, 2012, the new Holy Trinity wooden church was consecrated in the village of Malotroitskoye. After the consecration ceremony, Archbishop Ioann of Belgorod and Stary Oskol conducted the first Divine Liturgy in the new church.

On the same day, a ceremonial act of transferring the wooden church to the Belgorod and Stary Oskol Diocese took place. During this event, Archbishop Ioann presented archpastoral certificates to the trustees and benefactors.
