The Trinity Church in the village of Golofeievka was built in the first half of the 19th century. In the early 21st century, extensive renovation and restoration work was carried out here.

The first church in Golofeievka was wooden and erected in 1755. By the beginning of the 19th century, it had fallen into disrepair, and in May 1820, a stone church was built in its place in honor of the Holy Trinity and St. Timothy. This took place under Emperor Alexander I with the blessing of Bishop Epiphanius of Voronezh and Cherkassy. The funds for the construction were provided by assistant collegiate advisor and knight Timothy Mironovich Vremev along with his son Alexei and daughters Alexandra and Elisaveta.

The church served the villagers and pilgrims for over a hundred years, but in 1922, worship services were banned, the church began to be destroyed, and the bells were removed.

Nevertheless, the Trinity Church awaited restoration. On June 27, 2010, Archbishop Ioann of Belgorod and Starooskolsky consecrated the renovated church.
